Hopefully if you're reading this you already have Google Analytics set up on your website and have access to your Google Analytics reports.

We are happy to provide all our customers with access to their Google Analytics reports, via the Google Analytics website. However having access to them, and actually using the information to do something useful are 2 very different things. Through these Advice Centre articles we are hoping to provide a useful reference for both our customers and anyone else who may need it.

Bounce - A bounce is a visitor who only saw 1 page when visiting your website. On the vast majority of websites this is not the desired behaviour of a visitor, normally you would want a visitor to take some sort of action when visiting your site, either filling in a form, reading more details.

Bounce Rate - Number of bounces as a percentage of total number of visits

Returning Visitors - Are judged using a cookie that has been placed on a visitors' machine and could 'return' to your site in anything up to 2 years time.
